I am currently working on my master’s thesis, titled “Probabilistic Wind Power Forecasting with Automated Machine Learning Frameworks.” My main objective is to assess the performance, robustness, and speed of largely-automated AutoML systems like AutoGluonTS in comparison to state-of-the-art baseline methods. The focus is on hours to days ahead turbine wind power output prediction based on turbine SCADA data and Numerical Weather Prediction data.
