My background is in Cognitive Science, with a primary interest in learning and general (artificial) intelligence. Since 2021 I have been working on my PhD on deep learning for subseasonal to seasonal weather forecasts. In my research, I am looking for interesting ways to adapt state of the art deep learning techniques to challenging problems in weather and climate prediction. Currently my focus is on self-supervised and generative training paradigms.
